Artlands is a contemporary art programme exploring North Kent’s identity through a series of public realm commissions, responding to and engaging with the unique qualities of the area; its landscapes, its heritage and its people. We were commissioned to design the identity for the programme along with a website, an e-newsletter and the print design for the launch art work by artist Paul McDevitt.
The logo is an outline map of the area with areas of interest marked by a dot, and the word Artlands made from the same size dots. The colour palette was inspired by photographs of the North Kent environment.
Images 2, 3 and 4 show the folder we designed to encase Paul McDevitt’s art work Stellar Parallax North Kent, the artwork itself is in the background of the images.
