Curated by UP Projects, The Other Flower Show at the V&A brought together a group of international, contemporary artists and designers who explored flowers, gardens and nature to transform ten garden sheds into individual installations.

Inspired by the curators’ suggestion that “there is something quintessentially English about a garden shed that implies so much more than a simple garden storage solution; shelter at a rainy garden party, a workshop for an amateur enthusiast, a place of solace, retreat or perhaps something more untoward…” we followed the English garden party/gardening route and came up with a doily identity, interweaving symbols from gardens and sheds into the doily design.

The private view invitation and marketing postcard were die-cut into a doily shape, and this identity was carried on to a window vinyl, press adverts, exhibition guide and the exhibition graphics.
