Why we love graphic design

Graphic designers are often mocked for their love of obscure fonts, passion for Pantone colours and devotion to their Macs.

We’re a bit like that sometimes, but the real reason we love graphic design is the people we get to meet. Our clients have a passion – often to make the world a better place – and it’s a great thing to be part of.

Last night we met a prospective new client and found out their story. They’re a charity, who for many years have been making the world a better place for a lot of people. It’s a massive privilege to be invited into their world for an hour, whether we go on to work for them or not. We came away totally inspired.

It’s not just non-profits who have this effect, some of our most passionate clients are business people, but there is such a great feel-good factor in producing design for the social good. Here’s some work in this area we’ve been really honoured to have been a part of:

Amnesty – exhibition design

Imagine A World

Behaviour change – campaign materials

Koestler Trust – identity design and promotional materials

Woodland Trust – book design
